In recent years governmental focus on responsible supply chain activities have reached a new high. At first market specific regulation passed to eliminate legally produced materials from entering Europe in the timber and conflict minerals industries.

Now with the passed German Act on Corporate Due Diligence in Supply Chains, or better known as the Supply Chain Act (Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetz, LkSG) all products and raw materials are targeted. Higher due diligence obligations are defined that cover the entire value chain.
