We are happy to announce that Xylene won the first edition of the Business Impact Challenge promoted by Damm with the aim of “finding innovative solutions that add value to the food industry in the short term”.

Out Of all the solutions presented, the German company Xylene GmbH has been the winner in the area of supply chain efficiency. This startup has developed a digital passport for food materials and products that covers their traceability throughout the value chain. Xylene GmbH is a tool for suppliers and customers that offers the possibility of collecting and exchanging information about products, creating digital product passports for broad visibility of supply lines that facilitates the identification of possible bottlenecks in the chain. Christopher Edwards, CEO of Xylene GmbH has stated that “anticipating disruptions and material availability is a key benefit of a transparent supply chain. Xylene creates this visibility and helps make procurement decisions, increasing confidence for both companies and consumers.

Xylene will have now the chance to start a pilot test of their solutions in collaboration with Damm, in addition to receiving financial support from the company.
